Equality plans, initiated in previous years, are applied in the remaining sixteen centres in the country, exceeding the legal requirements in this area
Velatia reaffirms its commitment to equality during 2021, a year in which the projects for editing the different equality plans that remained to be applied in the sixteen remaining centres in Spain have been completed, with the firm intention of incorporating a culture of equal opportunities and empowering women in the organisation. These plans go beyond the legal requirements in this area and incorporate elements such as salary audits and measures for work-life balance, awareness-raising and other measures agreed with women employees themselves.
In addition, these contain different cross-cutting actions on issues such as awareness-raising, training, registration criteria and salary audit, among others. On the other hand, awareness-raising sessions on issues related to equal opportunities have been defined and held since the first half of 2022.
These plans are reviewed and updated every three years, usually with the collaboration of independent experts, developing an action plan that is regularly monitored on the basis of the conclusions obtained.
