Zamudio, 4 November 2021. Velatia has purchased Supsonik, a company with over 35 years of experience in the development of uninterruptible power systems.
These systems are intended to provide quality and reliable power for a limited time during a power outage.
The purchase implies a technological reinforcement for different businesses of Velatia and, specifically, for Stratenergy, a company of the group that provides industrial energy efficiency solutions.
The integration plan includes the maintenance of all Supsonik’s staff and facilities in Vizcaya.
Velatia is a family, industrial and technological group made up of Ormazabal, Ikusi, Idistek, Smarmec, Stratenergy, Wec and Gosa, companies that offer advanced technological solutions in line with the development of the smart city. With presence in 19 countries on five continents, it has a workforce of more than 3,700 professionals. In 2020 Velatia reached 645 million euros in turnover. Its R&D&I amounts to 3.5% of the turnover of the group and involves more than 180 professionals.
Supsonik is a company located in Sondika, with a staff of 14 people and a turnover of 1.5 million euros in 2020. Focused on uninterruptible power system products, its solutions are present in sectors such as industrial, naval, aeronautical, railway, renewable energy and electricity.
