Our Commitment to the SDGs

We believe in achieving the SDGs through innovative responses and positive impacts in areas such as energy transition, digitalisation, cities or transport, among others.

Since 2019, we have assumed as our own the commitments to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, paying special attention to those we can have a significant influence on, and implementing a plan to promote the SDGs in order to integrate the group’s culture of responsibility with commitment, dissemination and action in favour of fulfilling the global agenda.

These are the SDGs selected by Velatia as priorities. In order to help achieve each one, we have set ourselves the following objectives:

Objective

Promote full participation and equal opportunities in all our processes and businesses, through the deployment of equality plans; increasing the presence of women in Velatia to ensure a more equal, sustainable and effective future.

Affordable and non-polluting energy

Objective

Contribute through our processes and businesses to ensuring efficient access to energy, while also increasing the share of renewable energy and supporting the energy transition and the fight against climate change.

Decent work and economic growth

Objective

Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all; fostering greater levels of work-life balance, health and safety and digital disconnection outside the workplace for all our employees.

Industry, innovation and infrastructure

SDG 9
Objective

Build resilient infrastructures, foster innovation and promote inclusive industrialisation; adopting innovative clean technologies and industrial processes by promoting sustainable and eco-friendly manufacturing processes in our factories.

Sustainable cities and communities

SDG 11
Objective

Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable through our contribution to managing the smartization of cities and the e-vehicle development.
