The Vice-President of Velatia took part in the forum “Back to work safely”, organised by Torre Iberdrola, in which he shared Velatia’s experience during the COVID-19 pandemic<\/strong><\/h1>\n

The challenge of returning to the workplace in conditions that guarantee the health and safety of all employees was the main theme of the forum Back to work safely, <\/em><\/strong>held yesterday in Torre Iberdrola. Alejandro Ormazabal, Vice-President of Velatia, took part in the forum alongside leading experts such as Rafael Bengoa, the former Basque Government Health Minister, Rub\u00e9n Carre\u00f1o, the Director – Head of Advisory Services at CBRE Spain, and Elena L\u00e1zaro, the Director of Torre Iberdrola.<\/p>\n

During the event, which focused on aspects such as the role played by technology in managing offices and workspaces in order to guarantee users’ health, Alejandro Ormazabal outlined what technology has meant for Velatia during this pandemic, stressing that “in terms of digitalisation, we have successfully implemented a system for working from home that guarantees continuity of service for customers”. Velatia’s Vice-President also pointed out that this model of working from home did not focus solely on implementation, but also on “being able to do so securely, ensuring cyber protection measures that would keep information safe from malware and hackers. This is something all the team at Ikusi has done a great job on with their customers”.<\/p>\n

Regarding the future challenge that digitalisation represents \u2013and will continue to represent\u2013 in terms of guaranteeing both economic activity and public health, Alejandro Ormazabal insisted that “we have the opportunity for the professional world to be part of the solution\u2019, with this being an area in which the support of expert companies and institutions alike will be key for small businesses. “Small businesses are going to have to deal with a wave of digitalisation, and will require support as they do not have a structure in place to meet this challenge. There is limited talent available to help companies with digitalisation, and effort should be made to support them. The sooner we realise this, the better,” he said.\u00a0 “At Velatia we can help transmit this experience and ensure customers make progress in this area,” he added.<\/p>\n
