“H<\/strong>orizonte Elcano”, which spotlights the historic maritime expedition completed by Juan Sebastian Elcano, will count on the participation of Velatia<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The celebration of the fifth centenary of one of the most important milestones in the history of navigation \u2013the expedition led by Fernando de Magallanes, until his death, and by Juan Sebasti\u00e1n Elcano, who successfully circumnavigated the world for the first time\u2013 will be held in Getaria on upcoming dates 5th, 6th and 7th.<\/p>\n

The commemoration will count on the participation of the four navies (Merchant, Fishery, Military and Sports), which will take part in a regatta travelling along the Basque coast from Getxo to Getaria, the birthplace of Elcano.<\/p>\n

Numerous associations and companies, including Velatia, support this cultural and historical initiative.<\/p>\n
