The report was drawn up by the Basque Innovation Agency (Innobasque) with the participation of the 12 leading research and innovation companies in the territory<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Velatia, a family, industrial and technological group, has participated along with 11 other leading companies in innovation and research in the report “Estimated Basque Country investment in R&D for 2022” prepared by the Basque Innovation Agency (Innobasque)<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This report, which brings together the innovative spirit of the Basque industrial ecosystem, shows an estimated increase in R&D investment in the Basque Country of 5.2% compared to the previous year. To do this, the document bases its information on a statistical method that takes as a reference the Basque R&D budgets and the forecast of the territory’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) together with the correlation of 12 Basque trailblazing companies that account for 40% of business funding in R&D.<\/p>\n

Velatia and the innovation investment<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Velatia is committed to innovation as the best way to drive sustained growth. This is reflected in figures that demonstrate the group’s commitment in this area<\/a>. Thus, 3.5% of the group’s turnover is allocated to technological innovation projects in which more than 180 highly qualified professionals from the company carry out research activities to varying degrees.<\/p>\n

Proof of this is the Research and Technology Centre that Ormazabal, part of the group, opened in 2008 in Amorebieta, which has the most modern High Power Laboratory (HPL) in the world and the so-called Demonstration and Experimentation Unit (UDEX), a facility that is unique in the world and which enables the different medium voltage electricity distribution grids in the world to be reproduced on an experimental basis.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, Ikusi, a company belonging to the group, has a network, cybersecurity and cloud monitoring and management centre that is unique in the world. Ikusi Once, located in Monterrey (Mexico), has more than 100 engineers capable of managing more than 17,000 devices simultaneously from a single location, combining a portfolio of solutions that is unique in the world.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
